Night out on the town

The Saturday after Thanksgiving Mike and I had a wonderful evening in the city. We started off the night by going on a city lights boat tour. We had dinner on the ship while it sailed around lower Manhattan and passed the Statue of Liberty. The city is beautiful but light up at night it is breath taking.

After the cruise we headed over to Radio City Hall of Music to see the Christmas Spectacular. Even though it was still November it seemed most of the city was already lit up and ready for Christmas. I loved all the decorations and lights out on the streets. It was simply enchanting.

If you have never been to Radio City, you must go. It is absolutely beautiful inside. It almost transports you back into a different time. A time when ladies and gentleman had a lounge in the restroom and dressed in their best clothes to go to the theater.

The show was simply stunning. I love watching the rockets dance. They are impeccably in sync with one another. It is just incredible.
I love the act with all of the dancing Santa's.
This is Mike's favorite number. The March of the toy soldiers when they all fall down slowly. It is amazing to watch.
The nativity number at the end always gets me in tears. I love how in a society where people are trying to take "God" out of the constitution people still aren't afraid to include Him in their Christmas celebration. They play a melody of Christmas songs as the 3 wise men travel to see the Christ child. They bring in live camels, sheep and a donkey. Pretty impressive and very moving. I LOVE it!
