About Us

Mike and I met in January of 2008. We were both serving at the Rexburg temple open house. It was a whirlwind of a relationship. The type  I swore I would never have, but I couldn't help but fall hard and fast for Mike. We were engaged on April 15th. He proposed in true Prince Charming manner bearing a glass slipper and all.

That Summer, before we were married, Mike accepted a job and moved to Connecticut. We were married by my Grandfather in the Columbus, Ohio LDS temple. After a short honeymoon and an open house in Utah we loaded our U-haul and headed to CT (a place I had never been.)

We started our lived together in a new place knowing no one. Luckily we were blessed to be put in a wonderful ward and friends became family very fast.

Almost three years later and we can't believe time has gone by so quickly. Mike has spent the last 3 years with a great privet equity firm in Darien (10 minute commute from our place in downtown Stamford.) He is currently working on completing all three levels of the CFA exam.

I completed my Bachelors degree from BYU-I online and graduated in April 2010. I have worked as a full-time nanny and substitute teacher. In January of 2011 I was offered a position as an assistant teacher at a private school in the area. I work in a pre-k class and love what I do.

We both are serving in the youth organizations of the church (1st councilor of YM and YW. - I think it's funny we have the same calling in both of the youth organizations of the church.) We love working with the youth and being an example and friend to them.

We have picked up two cats a long the way who I loved like Children. Mike shows his love for me daily by dealing with their hair and allergies.  Epps is our older cat. She has a "tough cat" persona but is a secretly a big softy. She likes to be near me and wake me up every morning by laying on top of me. She gives kisses and jumps higher to catch a hair tie than most dogs. She is a sweetheart..

Rosalie is my "little one." She is also a true scaredy cat. She jumps or flinches anytime someone catches her off guard or pets her from behind. She likes to be where the action is but prefers not to touched.  She is my little shadow that follows me around all day long. She is very graceful and proper, her name suits her.
