Tree Lighting in Rockafella Center

This year we participated in our coolest NYC activity yet. We had VIP tickets to the Tree lighting at Rock Center!! HOW COOL IS THAT? It was so magical to be in the City as all the holiday festivities began.

At the beginning of the party they served a nice dinner, with an open bar and some FANTASTIC desserts.

The event was held in the bottom level of the 30 rock building on the same level as the famous ice skating rink. It was the perfect venue!

Once we finished eating we headed out to the ice where the stage was set up. After a little while Mike and I managed to make our way up to the front. We were only about 10 ft from the main stage.
Al Roker and Natalie Morales announcing the nights program.
Boys II Men
Al and the Family who donated the Christmas tree.
We were actually standing on the ice rink! It was a beautiful night with temperatures in the mid 50's. However after standing on the ice for over an hour my feet were FREEZING!!
Sheryl Crow
Donald Trump
NYC Mayor Bloomburg
Josh Freaking Groban
Jessica Simpson was also there but somehow we missed getting a picture of her, even though she walked past us a few times (we are talking about being within a few inches of her!)
5.4.3.2.1.... Perfection with an amazing Swarovski Crystal Star!
Mother/Daughter moment
Our company for the evening. It was a blast to share this event with our friends. We had an amazing time and kept each other awake on the late night drive home from the city.
My hubby and I with NYC most famous christmas tree!
One of the coolest things about the event was that every guest was given a party favor of a beautiful Swarovski crystal ornament. I looked online to see how much these go for in the stores... $75 a piece... thats crazy!! Ours is nestled in the heart of our tree and is now filled with some amazing christmas memories!

By far one of the BEST date nights EVER!!
